SYNOPSIS OF SERMON/MESSAGE
This week in our Lenten series Bearing Witness, we encounter the story of Jesus and the man born with limited vision (John 9:1–41). This powerful passage challenges harmful assumptions about suffering and invites us into deeper awareness of God’s work in our lives and world. As pressure mounts to deny lived experience and obscure truth, we explore how clarity emerges through integrity, courage, and faithful witness. What does it mean to speak truth, honor dignity, and bear witness to Christ’s transforming love today?
Call To Prayer:
Loving God, We thank You that You see us for who we are, the real us. We are skilled in how we present ourselves to others, but we need no masks, no costumes, no facades with You. Instill within us, we pray, the truth of who You are, embodied in the person of Jesus, who meets us where we are. Push us out of our comfort zones, even a little bit, to live as persons who reject the world’s message that power and destruction are valued over justice and fairness. In our own small ways may we reflect Love and honest engagement with everyone. It is You whom we worship. Amen.

Witness At The Cross, by Amy Jill Levine Hybrid Book Study: 6-7 pm

March 14, 5-6:30 pm
For thousands of years, the space where we prayerfully gather today was under the care of The Wabanaki, meaning People of the Dawn. Their presence in this region is remembered and woven into the history of our community.
In honor of Native American Ministries Sunday, and every day, we are encouraged to participate in repairing the past harm and moving forward with awareness and respect, celebrating and embracing the contributions of the First Americans.
