Church School Learning Opportunities:

Youth Sunday School Classes: On Sunday mornings, September through May, we offer classes for children age 2 through grade 12. Teachers work in teams and offer age appropriate curriculum and fun in all classes! Classes begin at 9:30 am.
Nursery Care: Nursery Care for children ages 3 and younger is provided by our paid nursery caregiver, Leena Ritchell. Leena has training in Early Childhood Development and is infant/toddler CPR and First Aid certified. She provides a safe environment for infants and toddlers allowing their parents to worship comfortably. During our regular worship schedule, Leena is available in the nursery from 9:00am - 12:00pm.
Adult Sunday School Classes: Adult Sunday School classes are offered, September through May, on Sunday mornings. We cover a variety of topics, each lasting for a set number of weeks. This year some of the offerings we have planned are a 12 week class titled "Wesleyan Essentials in Multicultural Society" and a 4 week Advent study on the prophet Isaiah. Weekday Bible Study and Communion: This group meets on Wednesday mornings, September through June, at 9 am for communion, followed by refreshments and Bible Study from 9:30-10:30. This study is led by Rosemary Word and covers a variety of topics throughout the year.
Companions in Christ (CnC): This group meets on Tuesday evenings September through June at 6:30PM. The topics relate the Bible to everyday life, and is a great time for fellowshipping and sharing as related to the study at hand.
Youth Fellowship: Once per month or more, youth in grades 6-12 will have the opportunity to participate in a fun fellowship, learning, or service event. For more information, contact Pastor Jeff at revjeff@suscom-maine.net
Vacation Bible School (VBS): VBS is a week-long summer camp, usually held in July, for youngsters of all ages from Toddlers to Adults. It combines learning, fellowship, active play, and refreshments for an excellent adventure. Themes vary year to year, but always promise lots of fun for your children! 2010 is the year we are adding the Adult adventure in VBS, a first at the Church Road location. Brunswick Methodist Academy: a unique periodic series of studies pertaining to the Wesleyan approach of living the religioius life through the principles of (United) Methodism. The series is led by Pastor Ed.
